Formation of an embryo into a hollow ball of cells.

The process of Blastulation converts the morula into the blastula, that is, from a solid ball of cells to a hollow ball of cells.

Blastulation is the process by which a blastula forms, i.e., as from a morula. This involves a hollowing of the product of cleavage, i.e., formation of what is known as the blastocoele.

The morula, that is, is followed, via blastulation, with the blastula.
