Fighting within genders for access to mates.
This is typically seen as fighting among males over females. Not to be confused with intersexual selection, though the two concepts are related to the extant that females choose, for example, to mate within winners of such fighting rather than with the losers.
Intrasexual selection is a form of natural selection.
