Study of the motion and interaction of basic entities, the forces that occur between them, and energy in general.

Physics clearly is the underlying basis of everything, but we also can describe aspects such as of environments as physical and this generally is rather than things that we instead can describe more specifically as chemical or biological, i.e., with physical therefore meaning as based on physics but not also describable as based on chemistry or biology.

Physics, as a science, involves the study of subatomic particles, the properties of light, gravity, superconductivity, electromagnetism, mechanics, energy, thermodynamics, etc.

Physics varies in its breadth from consideration of the very tiniest of things to the very largest (the entire universe, or perhaps even whatever it is that the universe is contained within). Physics forms the basis of what chemistry is all about and chemistry (along with physics) forms the basis of what biology is all about.

The following are a few terms from or arguably from physics:

Atom, Atomic mass, Dalton, Determinism, Dynamic equilibrium, Electron, Element, Energy, Energy transduction, First law of thermodynamics, Fluorescence, Heat, Hypertonic solution, Hypotonic solution, Isotonic solution, Isotope, Kinetic energy, Neutron, Osmotic pressure, Physics, Photon, Proton, Potential energy, Second law of thermodynamics, Spontaneous process, Static equilibrium, Stochastic, Thermodynamics, Waste heat
