A hike in Red Rock Country, up towards Cathedral Rock, Sedona, Arizona.
| Cathedral Rock is found off of Back O' Beyond Road at its own trailhead. This hike was started prior to sunrise, with the sun clearing the rocks to the East only post my reaching the top. It's only one mile long but is a bit of a scramble up steep, smooth sandstone in places. It also should be pointed out that the huge spires seen in many of the shots are actually the relatively tiny spire seen on end from a distance in the famous Cathedral Rock photos. |
